   1. tbachman has finished making a library out of the OpFlex protocol pieces. Has implemented most of the policy portion, and is completing the Endpoint portion (tbachman, 18:25:16)
   2. plan is to submit a patch sometime next week (tho a bit tricky with the holidays) (tbachman, 18:25:30)
   3. alagalah demo’d the integration of OpenStack GBP with ODL GBP at a Bay Area SDN Meetup (tbachman, 18:26:01)

3. Stable/Helium Security Release SR1.1 (tbachman, 18:26:52)
   1. A security vulnerability was discovered in ODL. A security release update was created. tbachman says that the groupbasedpolicy stable/helium versions were bumped as a result of the release (tbachman, 18:27:50)

   2. tbachman points out that if folks want to contribute renderers, they’d best do so soon, as the M2 date is rapidly approaching (tbachman, 18:29:07)
   3. dbainbri says that there’s a question about where rendererers can/should live, and what should be part of the “core” groupbasedpolicy project and what should be separate (notes that this is part of a larger, similar conversation with the controller project) (tbachman, 18:29:53)
   4. tbachman says this is a good point, and is open to ideas here — also notes that folks are of course able to develop out-of-tree renderers, but they won’t be able to benefit from being part of the Lithium release (i.e. would need to do your own packaging) (tbachman, 18:30:48)
   5. abhijitkumbhare asks about how renderers will be used/installed (tbachman, 18:31:30)
   6. tbachman says they will be loaded using karaf features, with each renderer being its own feature (tbachman, 18:31:50)
   7. tbachman says ideally we’d have operational policies that govern how simultaneous renderers would work, but that the project lacked the resources to make this happen in the Lithium time frame (note: anyone wishing to contribute here is welcome :-) ) (tbachman, 18:32:53)
